Well it's a little (dis)comforting to know that xenophobes and racists can be found anywhere...
You realize he is talking about illegal immigrants...not immigrants don't you?
I didn't see any mention of race either.

I never understood why people give a "Negative" to articles like these. What can be Negative about them announcing a new product. It's not like you are on DroidRumors or a general phone website where other users can show their dislike towards the iPhone.
Maybe some of you who recently just purchased an iPhone 4 are just having a bit of buyer's remorse? Don't be such losers.

Internet data usage is increasing and internet data caps are decreasing. This doesn't seem good...
Well, on a 256kbps stream (not sure if the music would get re-encoded or if the service would allow you to select bitrate) you would use about 112.5 MB per hour of streaming. If you had a 30 minute commute each way to work, you are looking at (roughly) going over your allowance in a month (AT&T USA) without any other data usage. (60 mins x 20 days = 2,250MB ).
I'm not sure this is sustainable unless the telecom providers stop putting small data caps on usage...

Yeah but who wants to keep up with 2 when you could just buy one?
Tiny flash drive can go on the keyring, so effectively it doesn't feel like you're carrying two. (Really, after seeing how my friend did his, it looks like he just has an extra key wherever he goes.)
As for the clip, I wish that it were removeable. Although, with the thinness, it doesn't matter too much. Just a minor detail.
[QUOTE=theBB]I have a SanDisk player about the size of a shuffle, but with a screen, radio and voice recorder. It runs on one AAA battery. It cannot do playlists, it is only folders of mp3 and wma files. Radio almost never work indoors. It comes with in-ear headphones that are too big for my ears. The new version with 1GB capacity is selling for only $55 at Amazon. The new one even seems to have a color screen. Unless iTunes compatibility is important for you, it is not a bad deal just due to the screen. I guess Apple could add a screen and still sell shuffle for $79 or have a 1GB nano for $99.[/QUOTE
I'm actually a bit interested in this. Mind posting a link? My brother's been wanting something like this, and I think I might get this for his birthday over a shuffle because he likes having a screen.

Blu-ray movie playback support. Well that, or much a cheaper, much higher quality (1080p) much wider selection of iTunes movies that aren't tied to Apple's hardware playback devices, oh and a much faster internet connection with no usage caps that costs no more money.
Whichever you can add more easily Apple. ;)
Also making Quicktime X as feature rich as Quicktime 7 Pro, but ideally nicer to use.
The ability to run iOS apps would be nice too.

Runs smoothly at low settings on my iMac that barely meets the minimum specs, so I am very happy about that.
Played some Co Op with a PC-owning friend and had a real blast - such a fun and funny game.
And it is so exciting to see a same day release of a major game for both PC and Mac. Nice one Valve!
P.S. Comparing Portal 1 and 2 isn't really fair. Portal 2 is so much bigger and better than it's predecessor that comparing the two is like a trailer to a full movie.

Why don't you atheists and non-Christian followers grow a pair already? You want us to respect the fact that you walk the Earth, too, and don't share our religious beliefs, so how about you do the same, ok?
Isn't it funny how Christians consistently seem to think respecting 'the fact that you walk the Earth, too' means forcing retailers to celebrate their holiday? Meanwhile, Kwanzaa is respectfully declared to be 'made-up' while the birth and resurrection of Jesus are declared indisputable historical facts.
Quite a few of the founding fathers were not Christian, by the way. Notably Thomas Jefferson.
Sorry to divert the thread, but the little baby's Christian rant caught my eye.

You are not comparing like with like. The comparable model to a Mac Pro is the Dell Precision T5500 and specced up the Dell is about $1,000 more than the Mac Pro. :p
The T5500 is a dual socket system.

What did the city officals think they were going to accomplish? This is cell phone service, there are no gaurantees of service quality enforced by law and a cell phone is by no means a necessity of life. If the service sucks, why doesn't everyone in town change carriers? That's what the free market is about.
Yea. but what to do when you were an AT&T customer, migrating to Cingular.. stuck in a contract.. with service that simply doesn't work.. then what is a 'customer' to do ??
Believe me, I had to fight TOOTH and NAIL with cingular.. took me almost a year to get OUT of a service that didn't work.

Then will you address the thousands that wanted the EV1 at that time?
Perhaps it was people with money, or say, people with the future in mind.
And not profits based on fossil fuels, and planned obsolescence.
Would those 1000s of people still wanted an EV1 if GM was charging enough to break even on them? Or charging enough such that within 5 or 6 years GM could turn it into a profitable business? Or was it a case of government forcing a company to make a product that nobody wants to pay the real price for and then sell it at a loss? Heck if you think ANY vehicle could make money with "thousands" of sales, you don't pay enough attention to the auto industry. You could put the most sincere person with the greenest of intentions at the top of any company, but if they can't make money doing the green thing, it's not going to be a company for very long.
Look, I've been developing and building electric vehicles for 5 years, don't think I'm not aware that some people have the future in mind and have enough money to do the right thing. But these things need to make economic sense if they're gonna do any substantial good in the world.

The new Xserver is whole lotta machine for the money. I don't see Dell's feature set coming anywhere near the Xserver.
Dell has the advantage of a much more complete server lineup. Apple only offers a 1U configuration with a single operating system and very limited options. Good for Mac users who want a server, bad for enterprise sales.

The USA needs to stop befriending Israel.. that monsterous state has been RESPONSIBLE for crimes against humanity and its government is just as EVIL as the government of the former USSR. But then again, zionism is another form of racism and apartheid.
Its time to CUT support for Israel.. let them fend for themselves.
Yeah dem dagdum Jews iz ruining this great Christian land dagnabit! Better get our guns and bibles out and fight for the good ole us of a I reckon.

Schools always have police around so it could easily be taken away but why would a school have the right to take something away. I never had this problem in college but in high school they tried to take my iPhone and I wouldn't let them. I said they have no right to take it, they called the police down to the class I was in but by the time they arrived the school days just barely ended. Everything turned out ok.
For you it turned out fine... That time... If you are asked to give it up, be reasonable and ask if you may retrieve it at the end of the day. If you put up a fight they may think you are up to something and it can get worse. The OP stated he did nothing wrong, so just give it up until the end of the day and then simply take it home. Pick your battles wisely. If you want to change that policy, do it the right way.

Thanks for the info, I need to find a good reasonable price on an iPad sim card (the AT&T international rates are a joke)!
Welcome to Japan, where only a few weeks ago did DoCoMo started offering sim-only plans without having to buy a phone along with the SIM, and their rules are a joke and no employee/store agrees on how to implement them and how much it will cost (it will all end up costing a lot).
Best to get yourself a 3G, Wimax or 4G wifi modem of some kind to tether your ipad, laptop, etc. One plan, one device, and many are foreigner-friendly without all the headaches that come with the phone/iPad data plans.

true but TCO for any subscription iOS device is likely to be many hundreds of $$$ more than an android that gives a similar experience.
TCO is where the smart people look, I'm not surprised you missed it..;)
Really? Last time I checked, iPhone data and voice plans were priced the same as their Android bretheren on the same network. If you want to compare TCO, you wind up comparing carriers to each other, not phones. Do you have any specific numbers to back your claim up, or are you just throwing out an argument and and an insult?

I agree. Steve Jobs is definitely taking this too far. A lot of people that were indifferent about him, now don't like the guy (based on what I've been reading in news articles and on forums).
